Slices of Logan County history gleaned from 1873 to 1895 Lincoln
Herald Newspapers will be presented by Historian Bill Donath at the
6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, meeting of the Logan County Genealogical
& Historical Society. The public is invited.
Donath has been working on the Shew Collection of Lincoln Herald
Newspapers along with print jobs done from 1897 to 1901 for the past
two years. He is preserving and preparing the collections for
digitizing.

LCGHS received the collection from the Shew Family after they closed MKS Jewelry
in 2017. The collection was found in a closed off storage area in the attic.
Following the presentation, there will be a brief business meeting. Refreshments
will be served.
