| Joseph Hickey arrested on delivery 
			of a controlled substance charges

			 [September 14, 2019] 
			On Thursday, September 12, 2019, at approximately 5:00 AM, Agents 
			from the Illinois State Police Central Illinois Enforcement Group, 
			Illinois State Police Special Weapons and Tactics Team, and Lincoln 
			Police Department conducted a search warrant in the 1100 Block of 
			Pulaski Street. The search warrant was conducted due to a two month 
			investigation of delivery of controlled substances from a residence. 
			The following was arrested during the search for narcotics charges.
 Subject Arrested:
 Name: Joseph P Hickey
 Address: 1125 Pulaski St, Lincoln, IL
 Gender: M
 Age: 59
 Subject Arrested For:  Delivery of a controlled 
			substance (Class 1 Felony)
 
 This investigation is still open and in progress by the Central 
			Illinois Enforcement Group. The arrest charges are merely 
			allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until 
			proven guilty.
 
 The Central Illinois Enforcement Group (CIEG) is a 
			multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force which has served the 
			District 9 area since 1986. The Central Illinois Enforcement Group 
			is comprised of officers from the Illinois State Police, Athens 
			Police Department, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State 
			Police, Jacksonville Police Department, Lincoln Police Department, 
			Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Pana Police Department, Sangamon 
			County Sheriff’s Office, Springfield Police Department, and the 
			Taylorville Police Department.

Lincoln Police Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police 
District 9, Logan County State’s Attorney Office. 
 
 Delivery of narcotics in our community will not be tolerated and the Lincoln 
Police and the Illinois State Police CIEG will continue to seek out those 
participating in illegal activity. Anyone with information about anyone
