LDN -- Top Stories

On Saturday the Lincoln Community High School Marching Railers participated in a field show competition hosted by Morton High School. The Marching Railers came home with a second-place overall finish. They also took top scores in the woodwinds class as well as percussion. The first place overall school band was Dwight, who outscored Lincoln by only two points.

Congratulations to the band for a job well done. Also, look for them on Friday at the LCHS Homecoming Parade and the home football game later that evening.

Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins - all sizes, all shapes, all colors, and all grown at Gail's Pumpkin Patch in rural Beason.

Gail's hosted its annual Fall Farm Day at the patch on Sunday. Guests enjoyed several extra activities in addition to all the fun and games at the patch every day. But most importantly were those pumpkins! Families enjoyed shopping their favorite shapes and sizes and carrying them home to carve for the Halloween season. The patch offers gourds, mums, apples, honey and other food products, as well as decorator items for in the home and outside.
