Thursday evening guests were given information packets about the proposed market and investment opportunities.

Finger foods were provided before the presentation made by board president Tom Martin. Dessert was served at the end of the night, all provided by Richner Catering and featuring all locally sourced foods.

The board is looking for 200 member/owners for the market cooperative.

Thursday evening the blue water tower graphic showed the need for $120,000 from investors.

PrairiErth Farms of Atlanta will be among the local suppliers for fresh foods.

Guests enjoyed the food while awaiting the presentation by Martin.

The Market on the Hill will be located at 125 South Lafayette last known as Jules Flower Shop. Jules by the way has moved to the other side of the square so look for her there.

On Saturday the Water Tower graphic shows that the cooperative has raised $60,000 in pledges.

The coop also now has a total of 75 members.

The first draft floor plan shows a coffee shop area, deli, a large area for fresh vegetables, a meat and dairy section and a small grocery section.
