[September 24, 2019]    The Lincoln College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams competed at the Bradley Intercollegiate meet hosted by Bradley University on Friday. The 23-team invite featured teams from the NCAA Division I ranks to representatives from junior college programs.

The Lincoln men’s team placed 17th overall while the women’s team score did not count towards team scoring. The men were led by Andy Hohn who placed 105th overall. Other entries for the men included Dakota Shepler (123rd), Evan Myers (161st), Ed Lopez (167th) and Chris Raymond (173rd).

On the ladies’ side, Shay Goble was Lincoln’s highest finishing runner placing 185th. Aurora Board (206th) and Marissa Sifuentez (208th) rounded out the ladies’ squad.

Lincoln Head Coach Brian Herron said, “The heat and the level of competition made this a very tough meet this year. This was the first 8K for our freshmen on the men’s side, and I thought most of them responded well. It will definitely be a moment we can build off of. Our ladies will be looking to build off of this as well as they get ready to run in their first 6K of the year this week.”

Next up for LC will be the Millikin University Wright Classic on September 27th at Scovill Golf Course in Decatur, IL.
