[September 26, 2019]     The Center for Creativity & Community is hosting a Drumming Circle on Friday, Sept 27th at 6-7:00 PM, to be facilitated by Tiffany McBride of Bloomington.

It will be held outdoors at Kickapoo Park in the Scout Area which is 0.8 miles from the entrance. Open to the public, all ages are invited to gather around the fire and share your rhythmical spirit.

No musical experience is necessary!

Bring a drum... a pan or bucket will do. Or just come, listen, and feel the beat! Drum circles build community, create harmony, and are playful, relaxing, and empowering. Bench seating will be available or bring a lawn chair. Offered on a donation basis. (If rain, it will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 301 Pekin St. in the Community Room.)

The Center is sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln. It opened this year with a free summer youth program for 6th to 8th graders and continues to offer an after school program.

Its purpose is to provide a place for youth to be themselves, explore their creativity, and strengthen their connection within and with others. The program is Tuesdays thru Thursdays, 3:00--5:30 PM. Youth are welcome to join at any time. For inquiries please email fpcyouth@ preslincoln.org  or call (217)732-6141.
