[April 13, 2020]  The United Way of Central Illinois has created a COVID-19 Response Fund and since they partnered with a community foundation, the fund will reach to agencies in our service area!

Local nonprofits in the greater capital region of Illinois that are serving individuals and families affected by the coronavirus outbreak are encouraged to apply for COVID-19 Response Fund grants by completing the online application.

Priority consideration will be given to nonprofit organizations serving Sangamon, Cass, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Menard, Montgomery, and/or Morgan County.

Applications submitted by 4 P.M. on Fridays will be considered for the next round of grants. This grant opportunity will roll over weekly as long as needs persist and fundraising for the COVID-19 Response Fund permits.

Grants are administered in partnership with the Pandemic Community Advisory Group consisting of funding partners and representatives from community, health and government sectors across the Springfield, IL region.

The Fund cannot provide grants to individuals, however, it does support community-based organizations that have experience providing essential services and support to local residents.
