[April 16, 2020]   Energy medicine is the art and science of fostering physical, psychological, and spiritual health and vitality. Your body is a living system of energy and you already have a powerful intervention in your hands and in your being.

There are several different forms of energy that are applicable in energy medicine; electrical energies, electromagnetic energies and subtle energies. “Subtle” energies were described by Einstein as energies we know of because of their effects but do not have the instruments to measure precisely.

As we live through these challenging times, our energy systems can start to stagnate or go haywire. One simple technique that you can do daily or several times a day is “The Three Thumps” by Donna Eden who is a pioneer in the field of energy medicine.

When you tap on these acupuncture points you will send electrochemical impulses to your brain releasing neurotransmitters which can revitalize you and support your immune system while dealing with stress.

Tap your K-27 points, 30 seconds

Place your fingers on your collarbone (clavicle). To locate these points, place the pointer finger of each hand on your collarbone and mover your hands toward each other until you reach the two inside corners of your collarbone. Drop straight down from these pints to about an inch below your collarbone. You might feel an indentation there.

With the fingers of both your hands turned toward your body, cross your hands over each other, with the middle finger of each hand now resting on the opposite K-27 point. Crossing your hands is not essential, but it does assist the energy in crossing over.

Breathe slowly and deeply as you firmly tap or massage your K-27 points for two or three deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Tap your Thymus Gland, 15 seconds

Place the fingers of either or both hands in the center of your sternum, at the thymus gland, about two inches below the K-27 points in the center of your chest.
Using your thumb and all your fingers, tap firmly, breathing slowly and deeply, in through your nose and out through your mouth, for two or three deep breaths.

Tap your Spleen Points, 15 seconds

Find the points by moving your fingers down from your thymus, out to your nipples, and straight down to beneath your breasts. Then move them down over the next rib.

Tap firmly with several fingers breathing deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth.
