Logan County 4-H Foundation awards scholarships

The Logan County 4-H Foundation recently awarded scholarships to five Logan County 4-H members and alumni.

Cavit Schempp, son of Darin and Cindy Schempp, a homeschool graduate of Midwest Christian Academy receives a $500 4-H Foundation/Ross Conrady Memorial Scholarship. He will be a freshman this fall at Augustana College with plans to major in Accounting and minor in Geology/Minerology. Cavit hopes to work in a farm loan department in the future.

Sarah Starasta, daughter of Mike and Leslie Starasta, a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $500 4-H Foundation Scholarship. She will be a freshman this fall at Wheaton College with plans to major in Music Education. Her future plans are to become a music teacher at the high school level.

Abigail Steffens, daughter of Jason and Beth Steffens, a graduate of Lincoln Community School, receives a $500 4-H Foundation Scholarship. She will be a freshman this fall at Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville and plans to major in business/psychology. Her future plans are to work for a company in human resources.

Jayden Lawrence, daughter of Shaun and Amy Lawrence, also a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, receives a $500 4-H Foundation/Alice Jodlowski Memorial Scholarship. She will be a sophomore this fall at Lincoln College studying conservation biology.



Molly Schempp, daughter of Darin and Cindy Schempp, a homeschool graduate of Midwest Christian Academy receives a $500 4-H Foundation Scholarship. She is pursuing studies at University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana majoring in Agriculture Leadership Education and Communication. Her future plans are to become an Ag Teacher & FFA Advisor in Illinois.
