Larry L. Newberry, 75, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, August 7,
2020, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. |

Service:
A drive-thru Celebration of Life visitation will be
held on Saturday, August 15, 2020, from 10:30 a.m.
until 1:30 p.m. at the Memorial Park Baseball
Diamond on Memorial Park Road in Lincoln.

Obituary
Larry L. Newberry, 75, of Lincoln,
passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
A drive-thru Celebration of Life visitation will be
held on Saturday, August 15, 2020, from 10:30 a.m.
until 1:30 p.m. at the Memorial Park Baseball
Diamond on Memorial Park Road in Lincoln.
Larry Lee Newberry was born on November 8, 1944, in
Lincoln, the son of Ralph Arthur and Clara Helena
Sloan Newberry. He was united in marriage with Doody
Fults on February 25, 1964. She survives.
Also surviving are his children: Larry (Cindy)
Newberry, Jr; Todd Newberry; Marcey (Jim) Byrge; and
Nikki (Eric) Roach; special Aunt Helen Singley; six
grandchildren: Shanen (Bill) Kemtt, Blake Byrge,
Brock Byrge, Fox Harris, Alayna Roach, Alex Roach,
and Brooke Roach; and three great-grandchildren:
Colin, Landon, and Lucian.

Larry was preceded in death by his
parents; one daughter: September Jean Newberry; one
sister: Sandra K. Weakley; and one brother: Jerry R.
Newberry.
He had attended Lincoln Community High School. He
then had worked at Stetson China, the bottle
factory, and Barrick Transfer. He also owned the
Robo Car Wash and Newberry Construction. He was of
the Christian faith.
Larry was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed golf and
bowling and was a fan of Elvis and Cardinals
baseball. He had also enjoyed wintering in Florida
for the last few years. He was a member of Elks
Lodge #914 in Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to Memorial Medical Center
Intensive Care Unit.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home.
