To the editor:

Copper Penny would like to thank the community for once again embracing the concept of Small Business Saturday.

It was great to see that shoppers were eager again this year to kick off the holiday shopping season by visiting our shop and other locally owned small businesses.

We also want to thank Lincoln Daily News for showcasing this annual event.

As a thank you to our customers, Copper Penny and 26 other businesses in our community have teamed up to sponsor Downtown Lincoln Express.

By making a purchase in any amount at 10 of the participating businesses through Dec. 12, customers become eligible for a drawing for $500 in gift certificates.

We wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy holiday season!

Gary and Theresa Schieffer
