SHOP LOGAN COUNTY

On Thursday evening, hundreds of vehicles came to the parking lot at the Lincoln Community High School to participate in the Logan County Tourism Bureau Christmas Cruise. For the children in those vehicles, the big reward came at the end of the cruise when they were allowed an opportunity to see Santa and Mrs. Clause. Even Santa is careful nowadays. He and Mrs. Clause wore transparent masks so that they were less "strange" to the kids but still safe and able to get a little closer than would have been permitted otherwise.

There were fifteen entries on the cruise. Those were the displays that stayed stationary for the somewhat backward parade.

Lincoln Daily News will have additional coverage of the event in its Saturday edition.

Today the Winter Wonderland tour of downtown Lincoln wraps up with the lovely trees that line the Pulaski Street side of the Logan County Courthouse lawn. While they are all wonderful, we want to draw your attention to the covid tree decorated by the children of Christian Child Care in Lincoln. The children made the little covid balls that decorate the tree, and two quirky little poems are flanking the tree. The poems drive home some fundamental lessons for protecting ourselves against the virus. As some would say, "TOO CUTE!"
