- Garth Helton, 84, of Mount Pulaski, passed away at
3:10 p.m. Monday December 7, 2020 at Vonderlieth Living Center in
Mount Pulaski.

Obituary
Garth Helton, 84, of Mount Pulaski,
passed away at 3:10 p.m. Monday December 7, 2020 at
Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.
Garth was born on October 12, 1936 to Willard and
Gertrude (Gimbel) Helton. He married Shelby
Kitzmiller on November 24, 1979 in Mount Pulaski.
She preceded him in death on December 2, 2010.
Surviving are their children, Scott Ray, Debora
(Bill) Millett, Denise (Rick) Sabo, Carol (Marty)
Spear, Sarah Spear, Cheryl (Jimmie) Lee, Byron
(Doris) Helton, Cori (Jody) Herndon, Michael (Donna)
Prewitt and Austin Pruitt; many grandchildren and
great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings
Theron ”Randy” (Alyce) Helton and Toni Drees as well
as many nieces and nephews. |
Garth enjoyed life and his family. He
was an avid bowler and liked to dance. He enjoyed as
well his many years as a truck driver and always
marked his trips by mile markers. He was also a
great supporter of Special Olympics.
He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
He was a good and honest man.
Private family services will be held at a later
date.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski is entrusted with services.
