[December 10, 2020]  LINCOLN - Jerry D. McAfee, 71, passed away at 2:52 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center.

Service:  Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday December 8, 2020 at Old Union Cemetery in Lincoln

Jerry D. McAfee, 71, passed away at 2:52 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center.

Jerry was born on January 31, 1949 in Springfield, son of Daniel and Josephine (Gipson) McAfee. He married Linda Tooman and then later married Carol (Tholen) Langley on August 3, 1994 in Lincoln.

Surviving Jerry is his mother: Josephine Hammond, his wife of 36 years: Carol Langley-McAfee, his children: Jason (Cathy) McAfee, Danielle (Tony) Johnson, and Chris (Monica) McAfee; two stepsons: Patrick (Rebecca) Langley and Daniel (Lori) Langley; one sister: Judy Campbell; five grandchildren: Curtis Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Chase McAfee, Joe McAfee, and Olivia McAfee; five step grandchildren: Zachary Langley, Megan Behrends, Paige Langley, Jacob Langley, and Kyle Williams; one great-grandson: Weston Johnson and four step great-grandchildren: Jayden Behrends, Kinley Behrends, Baylor Behrends, and Theodore Langley. He was preceded in death by his father and four brothers: Gene, David, Richard, and Roy McAfee.

Jerry was a retired Carpenter and member of the Carpenter’s Union Local # 27.

A graveside service for Jerry will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday December 8, 2020 at Old Union Cemetery in Lincoln, with Larry Crawford officiating.

Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
