The Atlanta Library will host a special exhibit of rural photography
by Champaign-based artist, Larry Kanfer from Monday, February 10
thru Friday, February 28. The exhibit will be displayed in the Union

Photographic artist Larry Kanfer challenges himself to find the
subtle beauty in the everyday. The Associated Press praised his
work, saying, “Kanfer’s gift is that he can endow the ordinary
landscape… with an almost magical sense of beauty.” After receiving
his degree in architecture from the University of Illinois in 1979,
he opened his first photography gallery and studio in Champaign, IL.
Most well known for his Prairiescapes®, he has brought acclaim to
the Midwest through award-winning calendars & original artwork that
captures the beauty of the region.
This special exhibit will conclude with Larry Kanfer presenting a
program on Friday, February 21, as part of the Atlanta Library
Dinner Program season. Dinner Programs are held at the Palms Grill
Café/Union Hall Building. Dinner begins at 5:30 pm, with the
