LJHS Wrestlers finish second at Chatham Invitational

The Lincoln Junior High Trojans wrestling team competed Saturday in the 18-team Chatham Invitational and finished in second place in the team standing only losing to the champions - Tremont who scored 184pts to Lincoln’s 180pt.

“The kids really showed up and wrestled very well against very good competition today,” states coach Alex Dawson.

Finishing the day as champions were 80lb Cameron Bell and 167lb Wyatt Mammen.

Finishing in 2nd place were:
65lb Zack Eckhardt
119lb Colbie Glenn
135lb Dawson McConnell

Third place - 185lb Tristan Barger

Fourth place finishers were
85lb Miley Sampson
105lb Grant Laubenstein
112lb Jacob Lawrence.


Fifth place winner was 70lb Seth Durbin.

Next up for the Trojans is Eighth grade night on Wednesday Feb. 19th at LJHS against Monticello, Porta and Normal Chiddix with wrestling starting at 5 p.m.

Lets come out and support your Trojans as they continue to try and improve on their current team record breaking season win total of 22 so far.
