Fire scorched and burned trees, rubble and brush are all that remain today, a week after the fire that destroyed an abandoned house on Ninth Street in Lincoln last Wednesday. This week at the Tuesday night meeting of the Lincoln City Council Alderman Tracy Welch and Fire Chief Bob Dunovsky spoke about the fire, with Welch commending the chief and his crew along with others who helped for a job well done in working the blaze and protecting the neighboring homes on the block.
