Hoops for Heroes to feature WLB girls Basketball teams and local first responders

On March 8th, come out and enjoy an afternoon of just for fun fundraising for local veterans. Hoops for Heroes will feature basketball games featuring the West Lincoln-Broadwell seventh and eighth grade girls’ basketball teams playing against local first responders such as the Lincoln Fire and Police departments and more. The event is a fundraiser to benefit the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.

On the list of activities for the afternoon will be a Junior Lady Wolverines scrimmage, performance by the WLB Pom Squad and musical entertainment by the WLB students.

There will also be a half-court shot contest for prizes, 50/50 drawing, and a raffle for a signed State Championship ball.

The event starts at 2:30 p.m. in the WLB gymnasium. Donations accepted at the door.
