The days of dreaming of warmer summer weather may be fewer than you
think. Lincoln Community Theatre, which normally conducts a 3-show
live theatre summer, is adding a treat to warm you up this winter -
A Midwinter Night’s Dream: A Musical Dessert Cabaret.
The LCT Board of Directors will host guests at 7 p.m. on Friday,
Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8 at the St. John United Church of Christ
Fellowship hall for an evening of musical numbers from past, present
and future shows at LCT.
Tim Searby is directing the cabaret, which will include great music
from last summer shows including original cast members from “A Grand
Night for Singing” and “Shrek the Musical.”
The show will be filled with exciting music from previous years,
upcoming seasons, shows we hope to produce and some of the wonderful
standards from Broadway history (including music from “Hairspray,”
“The Music Man,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Porgy and Bess,”
“Chicago,” and this upcoming season’s “1940s Radio Hour” and “Into
the Woods” among others).
