St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird to appear at American Legion Post 263 breakfast buffet

[January 07, 2020]   LINCOLN - The mascot of one of baseball’s most iconic teams will be posing for pictures, signing autographs, and eating with fans at American Legion Post 263’s breakfast buffet On January 12th.

BREAKING NEWS!

It would appear that when he heard that St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird would be in Lincoln this week, Clark the Cub, mascot for the Chicago Cubs knew he could not be outdone this close to home. Members of the Lincoln American Legion Post 263 were notified on Monday afternoon that Clark would be coming for breakfast on Sunday, January 12th alongside Fredbird. The breakfast starts at 8 a.m. at the American Legion. Fredbird is scheduled to be on hand from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and Clark is going to be there from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The proceeds from the monthly breakfasts go to the Legion youth baseball program.

Fredbird AND CLARK will be at American Legion Post 263’s breakfast buffet in Lincoln on Sunday, January 12, 2020,

 

It’s a $10 admission to the breakfast for all fans (except grade school children); meeting Fredbird is included with admission. All proceeds will go to Post 263’s baseball program.

The breakfast which will be served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. includes:

Food

Fresh donuts
Sausage and gravy
Scrambled eggs
Potatoes
Bacon
Fresh fruit

Anyone with questions about the breakfast buffet should call American Legion Post 263 at (217) 732-3743. The breakfast will also happen again on the second Sunday of each month through May 2020.
