The
Lincoln Railers defeated Chicago Harlan 69-48 Saturday night at
Roy S. Anderson Gymnasium.
The Railers were off to a bit of a slow start in the first
quarter but still managed a 13-6 lead after the first eight
minutes of play ended.
The Falcons edged their way closer to the Railers to start the
second quarter action and with just a 13-10 lead, Lincoln had to
turn things up a notch, offensively and defensively. With all
five guys on the floor getting in on the scoring, Lincoln
stretched the lead to 24-16. After a long three by Kameron
Whiteman touched nothing but net, the Railers were up by
double-digits, 27-16 the lead. Landon Hullinger would also step
back to hit a three later in the quarter and after field goals
by Whiteman and Kaden Froebe, the Railers took a 36-23 lead into
halftime.
Dcarius Davis hit a three for Chicago Harlan to open up the
third quarter scoring and he would be the one to carry the
Falcons offensively the next eight minutes.

Meanwhile, Lincoln
continued to spread the love on offense and stretch the lead by
ways of a team effort to 52-37.
On the other end Davis hit a long three, from the volleyball
line in fact, to settle the third quarter score at 52-40.
While there never was a running clock in this game, the Railers
did expand the lead to 23 points in the fourth quarter thanks to
a 9-0 run. A 7-of-7 shooting performance from the free throw
line in the fourth quarter also helped the Railers cause. In the
end, the Falcons were sent home with a 69-48 loss.

Kameron Whiteman led all scorers with 21 points. Kaden Froebe
poured in 17 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. Dylan Singleton
tossed in 14 points. Landon Hullinger scored 11 points for the
Railers.
Dcarius Davis led Chicago Harlan with 20 points.
Lincoln out rebounded Chicago Harlan 31-27.
Chicago Harlan’s record falls to 8-8.
