The public is invited to Camp Griesheim's Annual Meeting to be held on Sunday, September 15 at 5 p.m. in their main facility in Atlanta, Illinois.  Refreshments and fellowship will follow the meeting.

St. John UCC to host Christian Carnival on Sunday
St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln is sponsoring a Christian Carnival on Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The activities will be on the church's parking lot, at the corner of Eighth and Maple streets.

The public is invited. All ages are welcome to join in the games, snacks, songs, stories and more fun -- and win prizes, too -- all for free.

For answers to questions about the event, call the church office, 732-6957.

The carnival is sponsored by the St. John Christian Education Ministry.

WHO: Open to everyone
DETAILS: Logan County Love will once again provide a free meal to anyone wishing to join. If you are interested, please stop by and introduce yourself as the group would love to see everyone in the community. Come hungry and leave fulfilled. For this month, the meal will include chicken and noodles. If you are unable to drive but would like a meal, call the church, 217-732-6957, between 5 and 6 pm.

MEN ON FIRE STUDY

Join the Men on Fire Study at Lincoln Christian Church. Join with other men as they study ways to apply the powerful truths of the Bible to daily life. Study begins Wednesday, January 15, from 6:30–7:45 p.m. Tim Becke and Todd Henry will tag team teach from New York Times best-selling author and worldwide speaker, Stephen Mansfield, and his book, Manfield’s Book of Manly Men. KIDS WORSHIP—January 2020

“Conerstone Construction ZoneChristian Beliefs”
2020! A time for building as we look to the future! In Kids Worship during the month of January, we will be discovering how we can build a solid biblical foundation as we live for Jesus! Kids will find that as they spend time with Jesus, daily relying on God, that their faith will grow and be strengthened. Our focus for the month is “Christian Beliefs.” Matthew 16:16 is our key verse: “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”If you would like to review this month’s series with your child, the titles, texts and themes (in italics) are listed below.•The Transfiguration. Luke 9:28–36.We believe in God the Father.•Prophets Predict the Messiah. Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Luke 1:26–38. We believe that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit. •Jesus Comes Back to Life. Mark 15:42–16:7. LADIES BIBLE STUDY

Join the Ladies Bible Study at Lincoln Christian Church. Trace the path of Joseph’s life in the Book of Genesis to observe how God’s sovereignty reigns, even in our darkest moments. Two study times are available: Mondays at 6:30 p.m. beginning January 27 or Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. beginning January 28. Sign up in the Family Room on January 19. Lincoln Christian Church Good News and HeartSong meet again January 5!

Open enrollment thru January Good News, for 9th–12th grade students and HeartSong for 5th–8th grade students will be taking a break for the holidays and resume rehearsing on Sunday, January 5. There is open enrollment until the end of January (Sundays, January 19, 26) to make a commitment to the tours. Good News meets each Sunday from 5:00–6:00 p.m. and HeartSong meets from 6:00–7:00 p.m. each Sunday. Now is the time to invite your friends to join us for our upcoming tours! HeartSong tour is April 24–26, 2020 with our home concert Sunday afternoon, April 26, at 4:00 p.m. Good News’ home concert is Monday, June 1, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. with tour from June 2–9, 2020, touring the southeast to Orlando and back.
