Obituary
Jill L. Boyd, 70, of Lincoln, passed
away on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation
Rites have been accorded.
Jill Louise Crane was born on September 3, 1949, in
Lincoln, the daughter of John Wilford and Roberta
Helen Aughton Crane. She was first married to
Wilfred Dews, Jr. and later engaged to Ronald Lee
Heath. He preceded her in death on December 24,
2019.
Surviving Jill are her children: Fred (Jennifer
Phillips) Dews and Margaret (Thomas) Meyer; one
brother: Jack (Jan) Crane; seven grandchildren; and
three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her
parents.
Jill graduated from the Beason Community High School
in 1967. She had been employed at Lincoln
Development Center, Illinois Department of
Corrections, Logan County Dispatch, and Thortons.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family with
arrangements.
