Logan County 4-H Alumni Chocolate/Chili Cookoff winners named

[January 30, 2020]   LINCOLN - The Logan County 4-H Alumni recently hosted a Chocolate/Chili Cookoff where celebrity judges tasted each entry/recipe to determine a winner. 4-H youth were also invited to make entries in the contest.

A total of ten chili entries were received (including two youth) and ten chocolate recipe entries were received (including four youth).

Celebrity judges included Judge Jonathan Wright; Logan County Tourism Director, Morgan Gleason; and Michelle Dawson. Logan County Fair Queen, Skye Kretzinger, tallied the scores during the judging process.

The top entries selected by the judges were Amanda Gray’s chili entry and Hannah Crider’s chocolate entry.

Top youth entries selected included Rose Catterson with top chili and Logan Catterson with top chocolate.

Those in attendance were also able to vote for their “crowd favorite” and the winners of crowd favorite voting were Trisha Tibb’s chili recipe and Logan Catterson’s chocolate recipe.
