Four local women earn Zonta scholarships

[July 07, 2020]  LINCOLN - Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women through service and advocacy. Zonta Club of Lincoln is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s scholarship awards:

Claire Hill - Melanie Schaler Memorial Nursing Scholarship



Claire is the daughter of Laurin and Sheri Hill of Lincoln. She graduated in May 2020 from Lincoln Community High School and will be attending Bradley University in the fall. Claire plans to pursue a career in the field of nursing.

Alice Roate - Zonta Club of Lincoln Women’s Career Scholarship

Alice is the daughter of Gerald and Colleen Roate of Lincoln, IL. She will be starting her sophomore year at Iowa State University in the fall. Alice plans to pursue a career in event management.

Grace Lessen - Zonta Club of Lincoln Women’s Career Scholarship

Grade is the daughter of Eldon and Martha Lessen of Lincoln, IL. She graduated in May 2020 from Lincoln Community High School and will be attending Grace Christian University in the fall. Grace plans to pursue a career in aviation.

Brooke Kitner - Zonta Club of Lincoln Women’s Career Scholarship



Brooke is the daughter of Jake and Kendra Kitner of Lincoln, IL. She graduated in May 2020 from Lincoln Community High School and will be attending Indiana University Kokomo in the fall. Brooke plans to pursue a career in the field of nursing.
