Moses Pinkerton to be remembered

Family and friends of Toby Prange (Moses Pinkerton) have organized
memorial activities in his honor, to take place in Lincoln on July
18, 2020. From 10:00 am to 12:00, a visitation will be held at the
Holy Family Church at 316 S. Logan St.
A memorial mass will follow, celebrated by Father Laible from 12:00
-1:00 pm, with seating for 100 attendees. COVID recommendations for
use of face masks and social distancing will be followed.
An exhibition of artworks by Moses Pinkerton, organized by the
family and Logan County Arts, will be open at the Lincoln Art
Institute, 112 S. McLean St., from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
The art will include some images which are familiar to local gallery
goers, as well as others which have not been displayed before. In
addition to a tour within the gallery, outdoor seating, some
covered, will be available. Flossie and Delzena Café will provide
refreshments. COVID recommendations for gallery capacity, face masks
and social distancing will be followed.

This cello player, a favorite
theme of Moses Pinkerton, shows the fluid lines typical of his painterly style.
This artwork, as well as many more two- and three-dimensional works by the
artist, will be on display at an exhibition at the Lincoln Art Institute on July
18, 2020, one of several memorial activities being held that day.
