Country Financial Representative Michelle Bauer is pleased to announce the Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District as a 2020 recipient of a Country Financial Operation Helping Heroes donation. Bauer presented the donation for $750 to Captain Trevor Matheny and Firefighter Luke Hanger to assist with the completion of the Stay Alive Trailer to be used in Logan County schools and community events.

The Stay Alive (fire safety) Trailer can be easily moved to wherever needed to teach fire safety and join in community events to demonstrate the importance of fire prevention.

“Our rural communities are often those most at risk for fire loss based on proximity of aid,” stated Bauer. “It is important for the kids in those communities to be educated and feel safe in the event of a fire. This trailer will be a tremendous asset to the rural communities and schools.”

Country Financial tripled its initial pledge in April to its Operation Helping Heroes program, and is donating more than $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders and active duty service members, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.”

The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active duty service members, veterans and their families. In 2019, Country Financial expanded the program and donated $700,000 to approximately 500 first responder and military organizations.
