Jeremy Bacon arrested on multiple charges involving the use of a firearm

[July 24, 2020]   On July 20, 2020 around 8:56 p.m. Logan County Deputies were dispatched to a call for shots fired in rural Middletown. The suspect was apprehended by the Menard County Sheriff's office and subsequently arrested by Logan County Deputies.

After the investigation, Jeremy S. Bacon, age 38, was taken into custody by Logan County Deputies and the report was forwarded to the Logan County State's Attorney for review.

Logan County State's Attorney Bradley Hauge charged Bacon with committing the offenses of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of Weapons, Possession of a Conceal Carry Firearm While Intoxicated, and Driving Under the Influence.

On July 22, 2020, Bacon's bond was set at $50,000, 10% rule to apply, and his next court date is set for July 28, 2020 .

Bacon is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
