Golfers and sponsors helped raise a total of $18,000 for Heartland Community College student scholarships and support programs.

The 28th Annual Heartland Community College Foundation Scholarship Scramble was held at The Den at Fox Creek in on July 23.

The golf outing raised scholarship funding for the HCC Foundation to continue its mission while supporting key programs and scholarships for students at Heartland Community College.

“In the midst of this pandemic it was a real challenge to adjust this event to be safe and still provide a great experience for the participants. I want to thank everyone who made that possible,” said Heartland Foundation Executive Director Chris Downing. “Most importantly, this event is a wonderful way to connect with the community and make an impact by benefitting Heartland students. We are so grateful for the commitment that the golfers and our sponsors have made toward providing opportunities for students to achieve their academic goals.”

There are a wide variety of Foundation scholarships available for students including those entering high-demand fields, experiencing financial need, high achieving learners, and for those who are the first member of their family to attend college.
