The week before Illinois entered stay at home orders a couple hundred families had a lot of fun together.

On Sunday afternoon outside was quite warm and and a knock-you-down hold tight to little one's wind blew, typical March.

But once inside the doors of Logan Lanes the annual Free Family Bowling Party was the happening spot.

Smiles were plentiful and laughter resounded as parents and kids, some by themselves, some with help, took serious aim and then rolled those hefty balls down the alley doing their best to knock down as many of those tricky white pins as possible. What fun!

Nearby, friends and families cheerfully visited while grabbing a bite to eat.

The afternoon was full of joy and camaraderie with a blend of ages filling all corners of the alley.

The annual event hosted by ALMH Community Health Collaborative and Lincoln/Logan Crime Stoppers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is a hit at bringing families together in a fun sport for all ages every year.

The afternoon included free bowling, shoes, fun food and drinks for families to celebrate a substance-free, healthy and safe time together.

Other activities included youth surveys, free fingerprinting and lots of free giveaways.
