Obituary

Douglas Jay Hanlen, 58, of Lincoln, passed away May 21, 2020 at his home.

Due to restrictions imposed for COVID-19 private family services will be held. Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Doug was born June 25, 1961 in Lincoln, IL., the son of Carl E. Hanlen and Wilma M. "Billie" (Shawgo) Huskins. He married Veronica Kodatt on November 1, 1990.

Doug was a truck driver for 29 plus years, most recently with USF Holland. He enjoyed transportation: boating, trains, planes, art and drawing, and golf. He was a Graduate of LCHS class of 1980.

 

Surviving is his wife Veronica Hanlen; mother and stepfather Billie and Bruce Huskins; children: Kristina M. Rhoades (Andrew), Krystal L. Lange (Guy); grandchildren: Kimberly, Kevin, Caleb, and Caden; brother Tommy Hanlen; and brothers in law Bob, Steve, Mike, and David Kodatt.

He was preceded in death by his father, sister Connie Hanlen, and mother in law Sandy Freeman.

Memorial donations may be made to the family.
