WHAT: Truck Tractor Semi Trailer vs. Pedestrian fatal traffic crash
WHERE: Old Route 66, in front of Lincoln Hospital, Lincoln, Illinois
WHEN: Monday, March 2, 2020 at approximately 12:30 p.m.
VEHICLES: Unit #1: Pedestrian
Unit #2: 2007 Freightliner Truck Tractor Semi-Trailer
DRIVERS:
Unit #1: Pedestrian, (Deceased), Next of Kin Notification Pending
Unit #2: Male (60) Amarillo, Texas

PRELIMINARY:
On March 2, 2020, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a pedestrian was fatally struck
by a truck tractor semi-trailer while crossing old Route 66, in front of Lincoln
Hospital, Lincoln, Illinois. Illinois State Police (ISP) District 9, along with
ISP Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene at the request of
the Lincoln Police Department. The incident remains under investigation. The
name of the deceased pedestrian is being withheld pending next of kin
notification.
All persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
