To the editor:

I am writing this letter to reference the character of a former Logan County State’s Attorney who is running for the position of Resident Judge in the 11th Judicial Circuit. That man is Jonathan Wright!

Through my various positions in law enforcement, I have known and had opportunity to work with Judge Wright when he was Logan County’s State’s Attorney. I was a Deputy with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office for twelve years prior to my leaving to become the Chief of Police in Mt. Pulaski. I have held this current position for two and a half years.

During my years of law enforcement experience, I have witnessed the impeccable character of this man while admiring his capabilities in the area of prosecution.

[to top of second column]

As a State’s Attorney, Jonathan Wright was second to none! He is a fair man, who will outwardly demonstrate his unwavering Christian values. He provided a quality service to Logan County while in this position and has done an equally great job since his appointment to Judgeship.

Judge Wright is, in my opinion, deserving and the best man for this position. He has my vote and I encourage other residents of Logan County to recognize the quality of Judge Wright’s character and capabilities.

Anthony L. West
Mt. Pulaski Chief of Police
Mt. Pulaski, IL
