Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society supports Referendum for Logan County Courthouse

To the editor:

The Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society considers the Logan County Courthouse as a central part of the history of the County. As an organization that promotes the history of the city and county, we feel that the Courthouse should be restored and maintained to preserve its historic value and to provide services to the community. We feel that it is vital to our City and County. It is also a tourism draw because of its unique structure and beauty.

As Logan County has requested a Facilities Tax to be put on the ballot of the March 17, 2020 election for repairs and restoration, the Board and membership voted at our February meeting to fully support this initiative and feel it is for the betterment of the city and county.

[to top of second column]

We encourage all citizens of the county to support this referendum by voting yes to repair it for its services, and to restore it to its former historical value.

Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society
Diane Farmer, President
