For her 15th birthday, Cori Clark of Elkhart had big ideas of how she would spend it with friends. She began months ahead thinking about what she wanted to do and sharing her desires with her family. The plan had to include Kona Ices for all her party guests. When the coronavirus put a halt to large gatherings, Cori and her family hatched another big plan that included a Kona Ice truck parked in their driveway and a parade of cars! Cori's dad tells the full story in today's edition of Lincoln Daily News.

It is that time of year again when storms are featured in the weather forecast on a regular basis. Just a reminder of the difference between a watch and a warning. A storm watch means all the ingredients are present for a storm, so a storm is possible. A warning means that all those ingredients have come together so a storm is more probable.

Something to do while staying at home:

  • Let's have a "Throw Back Thursday" that is good for our sense of humor and our soul. Who remembers humorist Erma Bombeck (1927-1996)? (If you don't know her, now is a good time to get acquainted.) We found this website with some of her best quotes. Enjoy!

  • Snuggle up with your toddler and enjoy Goodnight with Dolly - new bedtimes stories each Thursday night read aloud by Dolly Parton (scroll down on the page for past readings)
