Wins National Award for Environmental Sustainability

In recognition for its achievement and innovation in health care
sustainability, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital has been named a
2020 recipient of the Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award winners,
the most prestigious environmental achievement for health care. ALMH
also won Circles of Excellence honors in Greening the OR.
The awards are given annually as part of Practice Greenhealth’s
Environmental Excellence Awards to honor health care’s achievements
in sustainability.

Anesthetic gases can make up over 5% of a hospital’s carbon
footprint, with many of them considered potent greenhouse gases
known to cause health detriments.
