As a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, State Bank of Lincoln has access to grants through the Targeted Impact Fund to provide direct support to organizations that help persons impacted by COVID-19. The grant seeks to provide targeted relief for positive community impact while considering each community’s unique needs. Bank president Steve Aughenbaugh recently presented a check to the Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois.

CAPCIL submitted a proposal focusing on home repairs for vulnerable populations in Lincoln and Logan County. During the pandemic, many populations including the elderly, rural residents, veterans, and persons of low-income were focused on fulfilling their basic needs. Many did not have the accessibility and/or financial support needed for home repairs. CAPCIL is partnering with Lincoln Christian Church and the National Group Mission Trips to execute this project. The project, Workcamp for Lincoln will perform much needed repairs, painting, and building accessibility options for 60-70 local homeowners. The work will be completed by several hundred youth and professional volunteers provided by National Group Mission Trips, during the week of July 25th through July 31st, 2021.
