The year 2020 marks the 19th anniversary of the September 11th
attack on United States soil. In this peculiar year where all things
true and real feel like a work of implausible fiction, the tale spun
by Brewster in The Road to Floradixie found a perfect home.
The Road to Floradixie is an exhilarating read for conspiracy
enthusiasts. Brewster intertwines the lives of a magnificent man of
superior intellect and strength, and an improbable retired cop-duo.
They unknowingly collide as partners in a secret war borne out of
the patriotic sentiment to, “always remember.” Fighting terrorism in
the shadows, this dubious team is ill-equipped for the undertaking
as they embark on their chilling journey to the Floradixie truck
stop. Their story is a provocative and rousing chronicle that will
keep you turning the pages right until the end.
Tom, a native of Missouri, came to Lincoln, Illinois when he was 17
years of age to visit his sister who resided in Lincoln. He landed a
job with a local farm and knocked around central Illinois until
becoming an officer with the LPD in 1972.

Although Brewster flourished in his day job as an officer, he continued to
nurture his love for writing. Over the years, he has published a total of four
books, most recently, The Hung Jury.
This fictional work was inspired by the true events of the Smrekar murders
occurring in the late 1970’s in Lincoln while Brewster served as an office for
the Lincoln Police Department.

On Small Business Saturday November 28, 2020, at local favorite in historic
downtown Lincoln, Flossie and Delzena’s, Brewster will be hosting a
book-signing. From 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., you can meet the author and enjoy
your favorite F&D coffee and snacks. He will have a limited supply of copies for
purchase, or you can purchase your advanced copies at any major bookseller:
Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-a-Million.
