[November 25, 2020]  LINCOLN - Malcolm D. Behrnes, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 8:14 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Service: Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery

Obituary

Malcolm D. Behrnes, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 8:14 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rev. Jeffery G. Laible will officiate.

Malcolm D. Behrnes was born January 23, 1942, in Baton Rouge, La., the son of Carroll B. and Irene Darce Behrnes, Sr.

Malcolm is survived by his life partner, Gerald Crippen; one niece, Stacy (Gary) Morra; and two nephews: Reginald (Bonnie) Scott, Sr. and Malcolm (Glenda) Scott.

 

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Charlotte Swann Scott; five step-siblings: Carroll B. Behrnes, Jr., William J. Behrnes, Charles R. Behrnes, Sr., Lorraine Behrnes Bergeron, and Garland Swann; and one nephew, M. Carroll Scott.

Malcolm was a graduate of Zachary High School in Zachary, La. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Labor. His hobbies included photography, raising flowers, and antiquing.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
