[October 01, 2020]  LINCOLN - Ronald J. Maxson, 66, of Hillsboro, passed away at 8:54 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Visitation: Monday, October 5, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Peasley Funeral Home

Service: 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home

Obituary

Ronald J. Maxson, 66, of Hillsboro, passed away at 8:54 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. Rev. Brian Wilmarth will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Monday.

Ronald Joel Maxson was born November 10, 1953, the son of Harold Jesse and Norma Jean Smalley Maxson.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Cindy Wickman; one daughter, Sara Maxson; one son, Kyle (Amber) Maxson; three grandchildren: Evelyn, Sophie, and Oliver; one aunt, Marjory Smalley; two step-brothers: Frank "David" Beyer and Paul Beyer; and several cousins.

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold J. Maxson and Norma Jean Beyer; and step-father, Herbert W. Beyer.

Ronald had worked for the State of Illinois as a database programmer/manager.
