The Lincoln Kiwanis Club had the desire to help a local student
attend a local college. A scholarship was made possible though
funding raised at the club’s annual golf outing. Although the 2020
Golf Outing was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, local
community supporters continued to donate to support the scholarship.
Following an application and committee selection process, Emma
Ritterbush from Lincoln was selected to receive a $1000 scholarship.
Emma Ritterbush is a 2018 graduate of Lincoln Community High School.
While attending LCHS, she was an honor roll student and a member of
National Technical Honor Society. She is now attending Lincoln
College to complete her bachelor’s degree in Business Management
with a concentration in Accounting. Her accounting classes are her
favorite and hopes to have a career in accounting following
graduation.
Thank you to the following organizations who made donations to
support the 2020 Kiwanis Scholarship: Connections Financial
Advisors, Joe Ryan-Country Financial, United Community Bank, Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital, and Sal Pollice-Edward Jones.
