Atlanta Ag 4-H hosts in person
meeting in October

The monthly meeting of the Atlanta AG 4H club met on October 18th,
2020 at the Atlanta Union Hall and was called to order at 3:00.
Leaders, John and Anna Catterson, reported information on 4H
enrollment, voting procedures and officer mentorship opportunities.
Jessica Wibben and Casey Glandon reported on Cloverbud activities
including the results of the coloring contest and fundraiser
information.
The celebration committee announced September and October birthdays
and those celebrating a birthday were given a nice gift. Upcoming
plans are being discussed on the Holiday party. The finance
committee did not meet this month, no report given. The fair
committee did not meet this month, no report given.
Under new business, there were several motions presented. It was
moved and seconded to elect the new officer slate for 2020-2021
including: Rose Catterson, President, Vice President, Callan Clark,
Secretary, Asher Clark, Treasurer, Reid Kelly and
Historian/Reporter, Klayton Snow. Junior officers were also approved
including Ivy Tierney, Song Leader, Violet Tierney, Recreation
Leader, Hannah Glandon and Kade Furman, Flag Leaders. Motion passed.
It was moved and seconded that the past club leaders and treasurer
be removed from the financial accounts and the new club leaders and
elected treasurer be added. Motion passed.
It was moved and seconded that the club contribute $5.00 towards the
purchase of member shirts, per member. After much discussion, the
motion failed.

Cathy Hull, Director of Atlanta Public Library, was our guest. Union
Hall is in the process of redecorating a space and has invited 4H
members to paint tiles that will be placed on the walls. Members
enjoyed painting the tiles and made several creative designs.
Cloverbuds made boo bags for Halloween!
Recreation was led by Violet Tierney, a ghost game! Balloons were
painted as ghosts and members tried to keep the ghosts up in the air
using paper plates.
Songs were led by Ivy Tierney; ‘The Adams Family’ was sang by all
members.
The spirit stick, an award given to recognize a member at each
meeting for active participation, was issued to Asher Clark.
Refreshments were provided by the Tierney family.
Meeting adjourned at 4:35 pm.
Our next club meeting is scheduled for November 15th, 2020, at 3:00
at the Union Hall.
