 Guest of honor was George Petrilli,
Democratic Party candidate for Congress in the 18th Congressional
District. “I have been visiting all of the counties and small towns
that make up the 18th Congressional District. I have been very
encouraged by the positive response that I have received,” he said.

progressive tax amendment to the Illinois Constitution, and the
run-up to the November 3rd, General Election. The Democrats favored
the progressive tax amendment.
