Drive-Thru Health Expo and Flu Shot Clinic Planned for November 2nd

The Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Community Health Collaborative and the Logan County Department of Public Health is offering a drive thru health expo and flu shot clinic for all ages featuring a chance to win a $250 gift card to Lincoln IGA. The event will take place from 4pm-6pm on Monday, November 2 in the parking lot of the Oasis Senior Center located at 2810 Woodlawn Road in Lincoln. All vendors will be wearing masks and social distancing will be observed.

“As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, we felt it was more important now than ever to promote healthy behaviors and offer an opportunity for our community to learn about local resources,” said Angela Stoltzenburg, ALMH community health collaborative director. “We are so thankful to the Oasis for allowing us to use their property. We think the Oasis parking lot will provide an ideal space to keep the line moving and provide a nice experience for participants and vendors.”

Over 25 vendors are scheduled to provide free resources, referrals and services from their vehicle. Participants can expect to receive free masks, hand sanitizer and more while supplies last.

The Lincoln Police Department will collect unwanted medications for free and proper disposal.

The on-site flu shot clinic will be facilitated by the Logan County Department of Public Health. Individuals interested in receiving a flu shot must bring their identification and proof of insurance. Those without insurance can pay a fee and should contact the health department directly if they have any questions by calling 217-735-2317.

All Logan County residents are encourage to attend the expo and will have an opportunity to complete a 2020 community health survey. Those who complete the short survey will be entered to win a $250 gift card to Lincoln IGA. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
