[September 14, 2020]    Ottman Azaitar scored a TKO over Khama Worthy in 93 seconds in a lightweight bout on Saturday night at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.

Azaitar improved to 13-0 in the co-main event at the UFC's Apex facility. In the other headliner, Michelle Waterson defeated Angela Hill in a five-round split decision, snapping a two-fight losing streak.

Azaitar dropped Worthy to his knees with a flurry, earning a quick end to the fight by the referee. Worthy fell to 16-7.

"The game plan was to go three rounds," Azaitar said. "When I get in these situations, I don't stop. I don't put on the brakes. Even though my coaches told me, 'If you punch him, don't go straight for the finish. Take it easy and look for the situation.' But for me, I don't know. If I get in that situation, I cannot stop myself once I smell blood."

Azaitar is now 2-0 in UFC with two knockouts. He defeated Teemu Packalen by TKO at UFC 242 last September.

Worthy was 2-0 UFC coming into the bout.

Azaitar earned a $50,000 bonus for the performance of the night.

The Waterson-Hill strawweight bout came down to a razor-thin margin that was decided by the scorecards - 48-47, 46-49, 48-47.

"You never want to leave it in the hands of the judges," Waterson (18-8) said in her post-fight interview. "A split decision, it doesn't leave a very good feeling in your stomach."

Hill (12-9) became the first Black American woman to headline a UFC event. Further, Hill has the most fights in UFC women's strawweight history (16).

In other action on the main card Saturday night, Roxanne Modafferi defeated Andrea Lee by unanimous decision in a women's flyweight bout. Ed Herman defeated Mike Rodriguez by submission at 2:41 of the third round. Lightweight Bobby Green defeated Alan Patrick by unanimous decision. In the featherweight decision, Billy Quarantillo defeated Kyle Nelson by third-round KO.
