[September 16, 2020]  MOUNT PULASKI - W. Glenn Mason, 86, of Mount Pulaski, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation:  4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski

Service:  A private family service for Glenn will be held at a later date.

Obituary

W. Glenn Mason, 86, of Mount Pulaski, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Glenn was born on August 2, 1934 in Illiopolis, the son of Charles Edward and Icy Oleta (Bell) Mason. He married Dorothy Payne on November 6, 1954 in Mount Pulaski. She survives him.

Glenn is also survived by his children, Stephen (Michelle) Mason of Mount Pulaski, Julia (Robin) Venn of Vero Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Ryan (Kayla), Rachel, Kyleigh, and Chase; and his great-grandchild, Parker Jo.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, William, and Charles; and three sisters, Louise, Grace, and Nola Jean.

 

Glenn worked as a manager at Mount Pulaski Products for 44 years. He was a member of the Mount Pulaski Phoenix Fire Department for 33 years and was a former Mount Pulaski Alderman.

A private family service for Glenn will be held at a later date. A time for visitation will take place from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski (Where face masks and social distancing will be enacted).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Glenn’s name to Mount Pulaski Phoenix Fire Department Memorial Fund or HSHS St. John’s Hospice.
