[April 11, 2021]    The Lincoln Railers football team played at Mount Zion on Friday night under the lights and the Braves dominated the game.

Mount Zion led 44-0 after the first quarter.

With the Braves on top 58-0 with :07 seconds left in the second quarter, the Railers had a chance to score but the pass was intercepted by the Braves at the two-yard line. The Mount Zion defender ran all the way for the touchdown and the Braves held a 64-0 lead. The kick for the extra point was good and the halftime score was settled at 65-0.

Lincoln got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter on a pass from Elijah Pollice to Sean Raffa. Raffa escaped the defenders and ran for the 46-yard touchdown.

That would be all the offense recorded on the night and Lincoln left town with a 65-6 loss to Mount Zion.

Lincoln falls to 0-4 on the season.

The Railers play at Mattoon Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
