David Lee Gehrke, 41, of Lincoln, went to be with the Lord at 4:20
p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital. |

5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m

Obituary
David Lee Gehrke, 41, of Lincoln,
went to be with the Lord at 4:20 p.m. on Monday,
April 12, 2021, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021,
at Peasley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m.
David Lee Gehrke was born June 17, 1979, in Lincoln,
the son of David Gehrke and Susie Stone Gehrke.
He is survived by his parents: David (Fran) Gehrke
and Susie Kiel; siblings: Vernon Keith (Cherrie)
Gehrke; Ashleigh Burnett-Knudson; Haley (Josh
Johnson) Caplinger; Chelsea (Billy) Couch, and Josey
(Nic Bramblett) Kiel; many aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
David was preceded in death by his
grandparents: Jo Heidbreder, Sue Skelton, and Bill
Sparks; one uncle, Ed Thompson; and one cousin,
Brian Thompson. |
He loved to cook, fish, listen to
music, sing, and dance. He loved his family and will
be missed.
Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Logan
County or to his family.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
