program prepares for fall return to campus

Heartland Community College will again be offering in-person
learning opportunities for students in the Heartland Academy for
Learning Opportunities (HALO) program this upcoming Fall 21
semester.
After having to postpone enrollment and instruction last year due to
COVID-19, Heartland’s HALO program has announced that they will be
back on campus and accepting new students this fall.
HALO higher education experience for students ages 18-28 with
intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as well as other
learning challenges. This program allows students to experience
college while developing indispensable life skills such as
independence, time management, responsibility, self-advocacy and
more.

Enrollment is now open for HALO’s fall courses. Interested students can apply to
the program anytime between now and mid-June.
