Abe Lincoln Quarter Midgets host opening day races this Saturday

This year, the ALQMA is celebrating 40 years of quarter midget racing at the Middletown track. The public is invited to come out to this FREE day of racing.

The driver check-in begins at 8 a.m., and the racing action starts at 10:30 a.m.

Nine classes of racing will be offered with two heats and a feature race for each class.

Classes include:
Red/ Blue Rookie
Junior Honda
Senior Honda
Junior Animal
Senior Animal
Light 160
Heavy 160
Light World Formula
Heavy World Formula

It is hoped that the opening day event will bring in more than 40 drivers with about 80 cars.

Throughout the day, the track concession stand will be offering food and drink for sale. There will also be vendors on hand during the day and there will be raffles and a 50/50 drawing.

The track is located at 610 1200th Street, rural Middletown.

Directions: Take 800th Avenue north from Broadwell to 1200th Street, turn left or west and stay on 1200 to the race track.
